Weather policy: Savannah Medical History Tours is an outdoor activity, and as such is subject to Coastal Georgia’s weather which can include intense heat and heavy rain. If there is an amount of rain that is acceptable to both parties the tour can continue, or reschedule if time permits. Tours will be canceled or postponed for hazardous weather and lightening at the guide’s discretion. If the lead traveler cannot be reached to reschedule the tour will be canceled with full refund.
Please be aware Savannah can be hot and humid. We will be walking approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 KM) please dress appropriately and ensure all tour members are physically capable of walking for approximately 90 minutes.
The streets of the historic district can be undulating. Savannah Medical Tours is not responsible for an falls and injuries that may occur during the tour.
No Call No Show: If a group does not arrive for a scheduled tour and does not contact the guide before the tour is canceled there will be no refunds issued. All tours will be granted at least a fifteen-minute grace period, more time will be given as a courtesy if the schedule allows. Please be prompt as multiple groups may have chosen the same start time.
Meeting location: Savannah Medical History Tours start at the old Telfair Women’s Hospital at the southeastern edge of Forsythe Park. Due to city restrictions, no tours can start in the park, so we will meet at the stairs of the old hospital. Savannah’s free fair DOT shuttle loops around the south end of Forsythe Park. All trolley tours have a stop at Forsythe Park.
